The role
We are looking for a Bioinformatician Scientist driven by curiosity and scientific rigor. You are a person whose passion is to help other scientists obtain the most out of their data. You have a flair for analysis, visualization and representing the beauty of your datasets. You have proven experience publishing in big collaboration efforts and working in collaborative environments in biotech or academia. In this role, you will be mentored by the CDAO and senior colleagues meaning you will get a steep learning progression in your career.
This position requires approx. 40% work presence in Pixelgen’s Stockholm office.
Responsibilities
Driving early customer and collaboration projects to success by assisting with data analysis, visualization and interpretation
Support our product teams internally with data analysis and visualization and lead our analysis test program
Identify patterns in the data that explains and correlates with results and reflects performance or issues that need to be addressed
Develop metrics and summary statistics for product development optimization
Create tools to summarize and track metrics between experimental datasets over time to identify patterns
Implement individual analysis stages in our internal RnD pipelines. Translate customer analysis into code we can reuse
Use statistics or machine learning (ML) techniques to draw conclusions from your data
Visualize and summarize results using relevant plots/tables
Requirements
Industrial experience and/or a PhD focused on bioinformatic analysis or data science
Expertise in python/R for data analysis
Proven knowledge of human immunology and interpretation of results related to this field
Familiarity working in command-line-interface in Unix flavors
Broad statistical and ML knowledge (e.g. distributions, hypothesis testing, dimensionality reduction, neural networks, etc.)
Working with notebooks (e.g. Jupyter) and reporting tools
Experience with creation of dashboards for data analysis
Experience with NGS data and image processing analysis
Familiarity with git repositories and good practices in developing code in teams
Analytical mindset with quantitative thinking in abstract problems
Collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills
High self-motivation: take initiatives, have the ability to run multiple parallel activities and at the same time have the ability to keep focus to reach project goals according to set timelines
Preferred requirements
Experience with cloud environments
Experience with graph and network analysis
Expertise in developing analysis pipelines with DSL environments
Expertise analyzing and contributing with analysis to various single-cell datasets
Broad statistical and ML knowledge applied to NGS and single-cell data analysis
Expertise in developing software as a team effort
Your own code submitted to several open source projects

Pixelgen Technologies AB was founded in 2020 by a team of passionate, experienced innovators and entrepreneurs with a vision to bring a new spatial understanding to biology by mapping cell surface proteins and their spatial inter-relationships. The company has developed Molecular Pixelation, a DNA-based visualization technology for analyzing cell surface proteins, to gain novel insights into cellular activity that will advance better medicines and diagnostics.
